Church School and Youth Groups
Our Church School for children and youth from Pre-K through Twelfth Grade meets on Sunday mornings from 10:10 am to 11:00 am. Our program builds on, and invites a response to, the primary Biblical and theological theme: “God loves us – no matter what!” If we believe “God loves us – no matter what!” (and yes, that is a promise from God that we can rely on), then our natural, God-given response becomes a life-long journey of exploration to learn and experience more and more over time how to: love God, love our self, love our neighbor (beside us and beyond us), and even love our Church (the gathering together of God’s people as the diverse but united Body of Christ). And, isn’t this the life of faith that we want all of our children and youth to know?
All members of our Church School staff are committed to helping our children and youth grow in their relationships with each other, neighbors, self, and God in a Christian atmosphere of love, acceptance, and welcome. The curricula we use are Scripturally-based and consistent with Episcopal theological principles and spiritual practices. And, they reflect a toolbox approach (i.e., DVDs, digital downloads, printed leader guides and learner packs) for greater flexibility.
Our Middle School and High School Youth Groups meet on Sunday afternoons for fellowship, fun, and faith building. Our High School Bible Study Groups meet on Thursday mornings before school. Youth also participate in Mission Opportunities locally and nationally.
