Adult Education

Our Sunday morning Christian education programs for adults are offered from 10:10 am to 11:00 am.  Weekly offerings continue throughout the summer.  Adults are invited to participate in Sunday Forum which usually is led by a member of the clergy in the Fellowship Hall.

Among the topics recently discussed in Sunday Forum are: “World Religions,” “Making Room: Recovering the Tradition of Christian Hospitality,” “Beyond the Chocolate: Practices of Lent for Contemporary Christians,” “Why We Do What We Do in Worship,” “The Fruits of Hope: Paul’s First Letter to the Thessalonians,” “Learning More About Same Sex Marriage,” “Forgive and Get Your Life Back,” and “The Bible as You’ve Never Heard It Before!”  No advance preparation is required.  Other alternative classes on Sunday morning have included “Just Eating: Practicing our Faith at the Table.”

Persons of all ages are invited to participate in “I Will, with God’s Help,” the class specially designed to prepare them for Baptism, or for Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation upon the occasion of the Bishop’s Visit.  “I Will, with God’s Help” is offered twice a year.
