The Lectionary Page

You can read the Scriptures appointed for Sunday worship.  Passages of Scripture are usually read from the Old and New Testaments.  The Episcopal Church and St. James’ use the Revised Common Lectionary to determine what Scripture is to be read, and the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) translation of the Bible is used.

The Daily Office from The Mission of St. Clare

ERD responds to crisis caused by natural disaster  or political unrest throughout the world. It also assists with recovery efforts as well. ERD often works with other relief agencies both religious and secular.

Forward Movement Publications

Is an organization affiliated with the Episcopal Church which publishes all sorts of helpful resources.  It’s most popular publication is Forward Day by Day, a guide for daily bible reading with short meditations. People can access these readings and meditations on the website free of charge.  There are additional tools and resources that offer prayers and other publications on various topics.

Church Publishing, Inc.

This is the publishing company of the Episcopal Church.  The publications include worship resources such as The Book of Common Prayer, The1982 Hymnal and other supplements as well as books on polity, history, theology, prayer and others.  Books can be purchased online.

The Society of St. John the Evangelist (SSJE)

Located in Cambridge MA, this is a monastic community of The Episcopal Church and The Anglican Church of Canada.  Their online video daily devotion “Brother, give us a word,” is an excellent spiritual resource.
