A group of parishioners travels annually to Welch, West Virginia, to help out local impoverished residents with various remodeling and educational projects. In previous years, missioners have worked mostly on "hammer and nail" activities. However, educational assistance may become more important in the future, since the residents have been largely relocated and need help with everyday living skills.
The next trip is scheduled for July 11-17, 2010.
